Welcome to Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores.
Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores Association was launched on September 16, 2011. DEANS is a destination marketing organization that focuses on destination marketing and the administration of tourism for the Northumberland and Eastern Shores.
This is an exciting opportunity for mobilization of new resources and ideas through the new destination marketing organization.
DEANS has a professional staff dedicated to marketing the distinct destination regions in our area; namely, the Northumberland Shore and the Eastern Shore as well as the administration of tourism in these same regions. DEANS will complement the marketing efforts of the other DMOs for HRM, Cape Breton and Southwest Nova Scotia as well as the Central Nova Tourist Association.
The DEANS board consists of 16 board members that represent the region both geographically and sectorally. Up to 8 members will represent the Northumberland Shore and the Eastern Shore respectively.
Marketing projects are ongoing that identify and embody the core elements of the visitor experience in the region as a whole and will follow the same path at the provincial tourism marketing strategy.
